Classic car finance options
Private Purchase: This type of finance is not widely available for vintage vehicles but, in specific circumstances, our pool of lenders will offer finance for a privately purchased classic cars.
Auction Purchase: This option provides a pre-agreed lending facility enabling people to confidently bid at an auction. It can be agreed on a specific car (or cars) within an agreed price bracket, although this does depend on the vehicle’s value. It’s important to note that auction houses generally specify that the invoice must go to the bidder (rather than a third party) so fund arrangements will need to be sorted before an auction takes place.
Restoration Finance: We can obtain an agreement in principle for the restoration and refurbishment of a classic vehicle. This means that a percentage of the car’s value will be agreed in advance and funds will be made available at the point of purchase.
Our knowledge of classic cars allows us to make a value decision on a realistic completed value (taking into consideration factors such as specification, heritage and the market at point of sale) – something lenders are unable to do on their own. As independent experts, our valuation and informed opinion on the asset allow funders to get a second opinion and lend against it.
+ Borrow up to £200,000 with flexible deposits.
+ Repay over 12 to 60 months.
+ Pre-approved facilities for auction purchases.
